What Reviewers are Saying:
“Not only does Drive on Moscow match the deft, beguiling presentation of its predecessor, but nearly every decision has the heft of a Soviet hammer.” - Pocket Tactics

“…if you liked Battle of the Bulge, this is about as must-have as it gets for you.” - Touch Arcade

“The ultimate question isn’t whether Drive on Moscow is the most realistic war game of the Moscow campaign, but rather whether it teaches you something about history, allows you to have fun and makes the experience convenient. Where the Germans failed to take Moscow, Drive on Moscow succeeds as a game.” – War is Boring

“This sequel is just as deep and engrossing as the original” - Pocket Gamer

"Drive on Moscow is in so many ways the ultimate example of strategy gaming, because its one of the few that requires genuine military strategy of its players in order for them to succeed." - Digitally Downloaded

"Für Liebhaber von Wargames geht kein Weg an diesem Schmuckstück vorbei, zumal man sich auch online wunderbar duellieren kann." - 4Players.de

Pros and cons of Drive on Moscow: War in the Snow app for iPhone and iPad

Drive on Moscow: War in the Snow app good for

Great game, good tactical depth. Carry on. One bug however: in my latest live game, I cannot download my opponents last turn, so I am gonna lose whereas I am winning in the field. Anyways, all wargamers can buy it, its top!
I am a huge fan of BoB and now with DoM I have to open another permanent spot on my iPad. After having played through on the campaign I can say that the strategic choices one has in DoM are equal to the urgency of movement found in BoB. The bitter Russian landscape is immersive and the need for tenacity throughout is strong. The AI makes some questionable choices at times but overall is solid, and there will be many updates I am sure. Another winner guys! Thanks for giving us real games!
This is fantastic, highly recommended, polished and great fun
Ive been enjoying this game thoroughly. Reminds me of the Close Combat series on the PC to some extent. Definitely worth it for the challenging multiplayer and single player experience.
I have played hours of this game and not once been bored, being fun but also very challenging at some points!
Жалко, карта одна. За кампанию из 5-6 таких карт-полных операций (от границы до Москвы и обратно соответственно) я бы 1500 не пожалел, и больше. У советского AI некоторые проблемы с осознанием танковых прорывов. Amazing game, but quite pity its so limited to the only map. I would pay $50+ for a campaign of 5-6 alike full operations (from border to Moscow and back, Axis and Soviet respectively). Also, Soviet AI got some problems realizing Axiss tank shocks.

Some bad moments

This game is buggy( music doesnt work neither do the controls). The game is way too short for the price. No real substantial content beside the main campaign. Please dont waste $9.99 on this game. I wish I could receive a refund.
A.I. Doesnt match the level of play of an actual human, but still gets 5stars.
Highly polished and fun game, however I was hoping the solo play would be more engaging. The AI is very weak and not challenging at all.
I have been looking forward to playing another game from your company similar to the Battle of the Bulge system designed by John Butterfield. The graphic user interface is quite polished, unobtrusive, and makes good use of the potential of iOS. Obviously your game designers have put their design experience from Battle of the Bulge to good use in Drive on Moscow which incorporates classic chrome features of Eastern Front wargame boardgames in an readily comprehensible approach appropriate for new wargame players, yet with an appeal for the veteran wargamer. I am anxiously awaiting the next moves of my online opponents, as gain more experience with Drive on Moscow from both the perspectives of the Germans and the Soviets. Thank you for a job well done!
Fun area movement game that you can play in between your monster OCS sessions or your napoleonic Empires in Arms game. May not have huge replay value after dozens and dozens of plays but it certainly scratches the war gamer itch. Recommended!
I love Shenandoah Studios Battle of the Bulge, and was very excited to buy Drive on Moscow. After playing, based on my experience it may not yet be ready for primetime. Why not? After all the map is beautiful and the gameplay builds on the sturdy foundation of BotB. I would like this to be a five star game, and I believe it will be, but it is not quite there yet. My lower rating a result of my frustration from the repeated crashes that happen playing the not very challenging AI. I will check in again after they publish next update. I look forward to seeing it! Update... seeing the crash problem in multiplayer now too... still not quite ready for prime time. This game shows amazing potential, I expect the next update will make it five star material.
