I heard about Battle of the Bulge, gave it a shot, and got hooked. So, flush with Christmas money, I downloaded this to my wifes iPad, and cant put it down. Just enough introductory stuff to teach you the basics, and then a solid interface. Lots of replay value, too. If you have any interest in strategy games, military games, or just plain enjoyable iOS gaming, this game is nearly flawless.

I thought the first game, Battle of the Bulge was a stunning achievement and basically perfect. Then this game came out. Keeps the things I loved about Bulge, but moved it to bigger maps and a great campaign. Get both, theyre both fun and worth the money.

Complementary cliches do not do this game justice. This is by far the most engaging iOS game I have ever played. Shenandoah took the "Bulge" and doubled up on content, gameplay, scale, and strategy. The current 2.0 update vastly improved the time it takes for the computer opponent to. Move, this is what spurred me to write this review. This company is dedicated to improving their products more and more to ensure an excellent gameplay experience.

Another great game from Shenandoah! The Game Center integration keeps getting better and the AIs are starting to be a challenge. Bravo.

This is the standout strategy title for iOS. Incredibly solid but intuitive and transparent mechanics with a reasonable learning curve, AI that doesnt cheat in any way whatsoever and is satisfying to play against for solo campaigns. Plus, outstanding customer service and forum support from very involved developers. Honestly, what more could you ever ask for.

This is one of the best games on IOS But Im a war gaming grog nard from panzer blitz days. I dont think Ill be doing Shenandoah a disservice by pointing out that this isnt for everyone This is a thinking mans game for people that like history

Like its predecessor Bulge, but bigger in scale and with a lot more to think about. Situation is a classic one, with the Germans on a desperate race to seize Moscow before the winter sets in, while the Soviets have to first survive then set up for a vicious counter-attack. If the Germans actually take Moscow at any point, its game over. Gameplay is simple enough that newcomers to these sort of games can go through the tutorial and play the A.I. a few times and get into it pretty quickly, whereas veteran players will still find it a challenge, and like Bulge, demanding very careful play and planning. Yes, the A.I. is way to weak to be challenging for experienced players, but that is not really a problem when so many good players are always up for a game online. Use the A.I. As training wheels basically. UPDATE: the new AI added with v.2.0 is a lot tougher, still not as good as the best human opponents, but better than a lot of people Ive played. The old AI will teach you how to play the game, the new ones will teach you to play it well.

I still kicked the AI but even after the update. Now I challenge you to go even more in depth add artillery, Air Force sub units. Build an even larger hex map along the lines of the old World at War games!

These games are seriously in the top ten games on the entire App Store. It has amazing scenarios, great gameplay, and totally immersive! I will definitely be buying the next game from Shenandoah Studios, no doubt about it!

The game is great. But sometimes I feel I am in a winning position and the defeated message comes up, and vice versa but less so. In one case of the former, the Germans were surrounded and the defense of Moscow solid, but up came the defeat message. I have also been in a strong attacking position for the Germans but lose out because too little territory taken in the time allowed., which may be more understandable.

Ive played Close Combat when I was a kid. This game is the closest thing to it on IOS. Worth every cent, theres tons of other games that try to accomplish what this game does. Im a huge WW2 buff and this game exceeds the standard.

This is a great game it brings back memories of the 1980s and strategy wargames I used to play. This game has all the bells and whistles the music, the sound effects, the history, the tactical layouts, and the layers of strategy. This game is much improved over the Battle of the Bulge, which is not too shabby. I have completed both sides of the Battle of the Bulge both American and Axis sides in the basic mode. This game is surpassing my expectation of the first wow what a great game.

Best wargame Ive played! I wish they would expand the scope and give us a more open ended campaign with reinforcements and less restrictive turn limits. Like lets get the whole eastern front war. From beggining to end. Other then this I absolutely love this game

This game is quality. If you like strategy war games at all, you will not be disappointed. The history briefs between days are also an excellent touch.

Road to Moscow is an excellent traditional style wargame. Builds upon the platform that debuted in Battle of the Bulge (also recommended) and adds additional elements such as paradrops and behind the lines raiding, represented by Soviet cavalry units being unaffected by supply considerations. The addition of random generals and PvP is welcome as if the series has a weakness it is the ease with which winning strategies will be developed by an even moderately observant player. Nonetheless, this is a highly addictive game and the supporting elements are excellent. Highly recommended!

I feel like all that pompous talk about great strategy, great AI, historical re-enactment,etc is complete BS. All one has to do is play the very first turn with both sides. While playing the Russians the German will always win the first attack and pierce through the defenses likes its butter. Trying the same thing as German is impossible that same first attack is thwarted and the grind starts. The odds are artificially changed to lengthen the game? I cannot get passed that for some reason. I have deleted the game from my ipad. Reading those reviews I cant help wonder what is the relationship with some online sites and the developers...

Well worth the purchase, hours of playability, and multiplayer makes it that much better. New AI is an improvement in single player games, but still needs work. Great history, detail, movement, supply, reinforcement, map, terrain, combined arms & elite unit modifiers. Get it if you love WW2 or war strategy games.

This game is so far the best strategy game ever! All the few bugs from bulge were fixed, there are great new gameplay options to spice it up, because of the larger map the axis player can more better use blitzkrieg. Great!
